Heart disease found in 124 children in Jodhpur, 56 treated by doing Surgery

A review meeting of the National Child Health Program being run by the Department of Medicine and Health for the improvement of health of adolescent girls was held in the CMHO office. At the meeting, CMHO Dr. Balwant Manda learned about the progress of the program.

Dr. Manda said that in the meeting, the RBSK teams were instructed to improve the deficiencies by physical evaluation of the screening, treatment camp and referral report done in schools. Instructed the RBSK teams to conduct medical check-up at the time of birth of newborn children of the respective areas. Dr. Abhishek Dadhich said that 10291 have been referred in the district for treatment under RBSK from April 2018 till now. Out of which 56 children with congenital heart disease have been successfully treated through operation.
